THE Staff

We couldn’t do what we do without this crew.

Mel Rubin

Mel Rubin is a hip hop improv performer, instructor and beatboxer based out of New York City. She studied long-form improv and musical improv comedy at the Magnet Theater (NYC), and is a performer on the hip hop improv team North Coast, who has been featured in The New York Times and Time Out New York.

Mel is also an active performer, workshop facilitator and public speaking coach with freestyle+. If you ever catch Mel around Brooklyn with her tiny dog Milo, be sure to say hi to her (after you say hi to Milo, of course).

RJ Williams

Producer & Diversity Director

RJ Williams is a performer, coach, and a cup of awesome from Dallas, TX. In addition to North Coast Hip Hop Improv, he performs with Baby Wants Candy and is on a house team at The Peoples Improv Theater.

Additionally, RJ has has performed around the US and Europe. If smiles were currency, RJ would be rich.

Luke Miller

Luke is a improviser based in New York City who has been performing for over 10 years. Born in NY but raised in NC, he's been lucky enough to improvise and freestyle for audiences all across the United States, and even internationally. Luke has been a part of award-winning improv and sketch groups, has coached/directed/taught improv teams, and has even made some beer money leading professional workshops. By day, he works as a strategy manager in marketing and sales...but by night, you can find Luke rock climbing, tending to plants, cooking, or lighting the stage up with North Coast.
